FAQS

What are the benefits for Installing Solar Solutions?

Solar Solutions minimize carbon footprints which makes our environment pollution free, while simultaneously promoting sustainable energy. Homeowners install Solar Solution to lower their Electricity bills and protect themselves from escalating electricity costs in the future. The installation of a solar solution on your rooftop also raises the value of your home.

How much money can I save with Solar?

The typical system on an optimal home will pay back your investment in 3-4 years. The system can generate Electricity for next 20-25 years bringing huge savings for your hard-earned money.

Will solar panels produce the same amount of electricity all year long?

The amount of electricity produced will vary with the seasons as the angle of the sun changes from summer to winter. We as SEEE Technologies guarantee the Average Monthly/Yearly Units for each type of Solar (5 KW, 10 KW, 15 KW etc.) production which are available in the data of your inverter and reflect in your utility bills as well

Can solar panel work without Inverter?

Yes, for DC loads, solar may operate without an inverter. However, the general power system and all appliances use alternating current (AC). To offer free Solar Power to your AC load, we must utilize an inverter to convert from DC to AC.

How much roof space will I need for a solar array?

Every kilowatt of the solar array takes about 75 square feet. So, a typical 5kW system will require 5*75= 375 square feet. Our Technical team will be happy to assist you to use your space effectively and also can design Customized structure if required.

What happens on a cloudy or rainy day with no sunlight?

The panels will produce electricity but it will be very limited, depending on how much light can get through the cloud layers. Solar system works efficiently in sunny day having good light which converts into current using solar Cells in the PV module.

How do solar photovoltaic efficiency or PV work?

Photovoltaic is the process of converting sunlight directly into the electricity. PV cells use semiconductors to exhibit photovoltaic process. Solar panels absorb the sun’s energy throughout the day and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. Most homes and businesses run on alternating current (AC) electricity, so the DC electricity is then passed through an inverter to convert it to usable AC electricity. At that point, you either use the electricity in your house or send it back to the electric grid if you opted for On-Grid Solution.

What are the components of Solar System?

Solar or PV system is made up of different components which include PV modules (Solar Panels), Charge controller and batteries in case of Off-grid system. In case of grid tied system it includes inverter as well which converts Direct Current (DC) current from the panels to an Alternating Current (AC) and this AC current is used to run our appliances.

What is On-Grid Solar System?

An On-Grid or Grid tied solar system is the one which is connected to your local utility grid and it uses the Bi-directional (green meter) to export surplus units to grid via Net Metering process. On-Grid residential solar system reduces Monthly Electricity bills and this reduction in bills is done in a way that, In a daylight solar system is powering your house and you are not using the WAPDA’s units and if surplus units are produced by your system then these units are exported to utility grid and later on these units will be adjusted in night’s units.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of On-Grid System?

The advantage of an on-grid system is that the excess energy you generate is transmitted to the local utility (WAPDA) via net-metering, and you will use the same units during the night when the solar panels are not producing power, lowering your monthly electricity expenses. The downside of the On-Grid approach is that it will shut down when there is load shedding. During a power outage, even during the day, the entire Solar System will stop working, and no production will occur on your solar. (This issue is overcome by using Hybrid System). So those areas where there is no load shedding on-Grid System is best and those areas where frequent load shedding, suggested to have Hybrid Solar System.

What is Off-Grid Solar System?

Off-grid systems enable you to store and store your solar energy in batteries for use when the power grid fails. Off-grid systems are beneficial in rural areas where there is no connection to a utility grid.

What is Hybrid system?

A hybrid system is a combination of on-grid and off-grid systems; it has net metering capability, allowing you to export units to WAPDA, and it also has battery backup capability in the event of a power outage.
